For a flawless, professional print, your artwork must be high-resolution and have a completely transparent background.
Find the tool you used below and follow these quick, simple steps to make sure your art is print-ready!
Canva makes designing easy, but standard downloads are too low-resolution for print. Follow these exact steps to export your artwork:
1: How to get the perfect print from Canva: The standard free download settings can make prints look blurry. The Golden Rule: You need a Canva Pro account to download your design with a transparent background. If you have the free version, don’t worry! Send it over anyway and we will help you clean it up.
2: How to Download: Click Share in the top right corner. Click Download. Change the File Type dropdown to PNG. Check the box that says Transparent background (this ensures you don’t get a giant white rectangle behind your logo). Slide the Size bar up to 4x or 5x to boost the resolution. Hit Download and upload it to our form!
AI-generated images look incredible on your phone screen, but they are highly compressed and always generate with a solid background. Before sending them to us:
1: If You Created AI Art: (Midjourney, DALL-E, etc.) AI art looks stunning on a screen, but the files are naturally too small and low-resolution to print sharply on a large hoodie or t-shirt. The Golden Rule: Your AI image needs to be “upscaled” before it can be printed.
2: How to Fix It Fast: Do not just download the preview image from your phone. Download the highest quality version the AI tool gives you. Run your file through a free online AI image enhancer like Pixelcut Upscaler or Upscale.media to double or quadruple the file size. Save it as a PNG file.
How to Save It: For Illustrator (.AI or .EPS): Select all text, go to Type in the top menu, and click Create Outlines. This locks your fonts in place.
For Photoshop (.PSD): Ensure your canvas size is set to the physical size you want it printed (e.g., 10 inches wide) at 300 DPI. Hide your background layer so it is transparent.
Send us the raw .AI, .EPS, or .PDF file! Still Not Sure? We’ve Got Your Back! If this all sounds like another language, don't sweat it. Just upload the best quality version of the design that you currently have.
A PNG file is a high-quality digital image format built to support transparency. Unlike standard JPEGs, a transparent PNG ensures that only your logo or artwork prints onto the fabric—leaving no ugly, accidental white blocks or background squares behind.
“If you zoom in on your screen and the edges look blurry or pixelated, it will print blurry too.”
“If you don’t want a big white square background behind your logo, try to upload a PNG file with a transparent background.”
“Don’t stress if you aren’t a design pro! Send us what you have, and our team will check it out to make sure it prints beautifully.”
